TV Has Made me the Person I Am Today

Growing up all I did was watch TV I love TV so much I see it as an escape. I also see TV as my dose of ratchet. I like to watch some TV shows that are full of drama and fighting because I do not do those things in my normal life. I also watch so much TV because I am always so busy that a TV show can take me away from all my worries for 22-41 minutes. I know that many Americans especially women engross their selves in TV so much so that they are putting other important things in their lives on the back burner. I believe that I do not spend too much time watching TV during I try to wait for the weekend so I won’t be wasting time that I can be using on other tasks like homework.

I always think though are the TV shows that I watch having a bad influence on me as a woman. All of the TV shows I watch, I have a somewhat passionate feeling towards. I become emotionally attached to the characters to the point that I sometimes catch myself talking to the TV because I feel so strongly about what a character is going though is good or bad. I realized that I have many parasocial relationships with the characters in TV shows but I think I’m that way because I was the only child in the house so I formed relationships with characters. Is this bad for me only time will tell but I do live a normal life because people wouldn’t even know unless I tell them.

I have to go one of my TV shows is on!!
